Choose a Recognised Award
|
The Council for Dance Education and Training’s Recognised Awards promote safe dance teaching for every child and allow parents to distinguish a dance or musical theatre school, teacher or instructor that has publicly declared to be following sound professional practice. A responsible parent would not consider leaving a child at a nursery school or playgroup without checking the credentials of the establishment, yet when it comes to choosing a dance class it is often priorities such as the cost of the class, |
the convenience of the time of lessons, or whether a child’s friend is attending that same class that determine choice. We believe that safety and the upholding of professional standards should always come first. If your child takes classes at a school or with a teacher or instructor who has received the mark of recognition from the Council for Dance Education and Training, you know they will have met our Requirements of professional practice. |
