Numerous schools, colleges and universities offer one year foundation courses. These courses may offer relevant experience for further training and may help you to decide if you wish to pursue a professional vocational training in dance.

CDET does not currently accredit one year courses, but some of our accredited schools may offer one year courses alongside their two or three year vocational training. Details for these schools can be found in Accredited Schools. Please contact these schools directly for more information.

To find foundation courses in universities and further education colleges you should visit UCAS and use their course finder tool to access up-to-date information.

If you are based in London, take a look at Floodlight magazine, which lists all courses in Further Education (FE) colleges. Most regions have a similar publication which can be obtained from newsagents or local libraries enabling you to contact your local college regarding the availability of Performing Arts programmes.
