Dance Careers Day
| A unique and informative event providing high-quality, relevant and up-to-date, information and guidance about further education, training and career opportunities in the dance and musical theatre industries.
Dance Careers Day is specifically tailored to meet the needs of young people in the 14-18 age range in the London and Home Counties. On Friday 8th March at Move It, CDET will host Discover a Career in Dance. The day is organised into a series of workshops including: |

Sofa interview - No ticket required 12.00 – 12.15 Unsure about taking the plunge? – Professional training is not all about becoming a performer or a teacher. Come to the CDET Teacher’s Hub and find out what training in the performing arts can do for you and your future. Teacher’s Hub interview - No ticket required 12.45 – 13.30 Audition Technique – Experience what it's like to audition for a vocational college - learn a routine from an audition and get tips and advice on how to best prepare. Intermediate level, suitable for those with dancing knowledge. Ticket required 14.30 – 15.15 Performance Technique – Learn the key foundations of performance. Work on showcasing your personality and expression in performance. Taking examples from different dance styles this class will lead you through tips and techniques to maximise your performance skills. Ticket required |
